What I Eat Daily

I have gotten countless requests to show what I typically eat in a day. I have to say that this is by no means what I eat every day! I do switch things up because otherwise I would be bored to death! I try to eat what's in season and I'm also a bargain shopping and like to pick up what's on sale! (:

I also usually try at least one new recipe each week and will make a batch to have throughout the week.

As many of you know, I have tried different lifestyles and ways of eating and at this time in my life, it seems that eating clean is working best for me. I encourage everyone to try different ways of eating to see what works best for them.

I usually eat about five to six small meals a day. I eat every two to three hours. I determine by listening to my body and eat when I feel the need. I also drink about 2.5-3 liters of water daily and always start my morning out by drinking a liter, typically.

MEAL 1
 1/3 Cup Old Fashioned Oatmeal
4 Hard Boiled Egg Whites

1/2 Carrot Stick
Celery Stick

MEAL 3

Spring Nail Polish Colors

I thought that doing a spring nail polish color guide would be a great video and blog post for me to do since basically all the polishes I own are colors that are great to wear in Spring and Summer! (:

One of the main things you want to focus on is wearing something soft yet bright. Some color examples are cream, beige, soft grey, turquoise, aqua, lavender, rose, baby pink and coral.

Neutrals are huge this Spring 2012 on the red carpet as well as on the cat walk.

March 2012 Favorite Products

Happy Friday everyone! (:

I hope you have all had a beautiful week!

I'm excited to share with you my favorite products from March 2012. I decided to mix things up and include some beauty and non-beauty products that I've been getting a lot of use out of this past month.

Click here to watch this video!

PRODUCTS
- Robert Kennedy's OXYGEN Magazine -
The most inspirational thing about this magazine is that it features real women who work hard day in and out at the gym, eat a super clean diet and maintain an overall healthy lifestyle. I always learn several new things when reading each issue, am constantly inspired to push myself harder in the gym, to try new recipes and make sure my diet is squeaky clean.

- Nike Free Run 2 -
Everyone will know that I'm coming when I wear these amazingly bright pink shoes with electric blue laces but I LOVE that about these shoes! Besides how cute I think they are, they are comfortable and I've decided to call them my magic shoes because the first day I wore them I was able to jump rope for 10 minutes straight, for the first time! (:

- BSN Dessert Protein Powder: Whipped Vanilla Cream -
This protein is the best tasting one I have ever tried! I have grown to love and trust BSN for their great products. I have tried several different BSN dessert protein powder flavors including fresh cinnamon roll and chocolate fudge pudding which are delicious but my all time favorite is whipped vanilla cream. This is what I use to make my daily post workout green smoothies.

- Veet Wax Strips -
In the past, I have used professional wax from the salon for personal use so when I decided to buy wax from the drug store, I have to say I was really apprehensive! To my surprise, these strips work AMAZINGLY well! I really can't rave about them enough! Definitely a bargain!

- Tresemme Color Protection Shampoo/Conditioner -
At 32 fl oz per container and averaging under $4 each, these are a steal! I've been impressed with how soft these products have left my hair and how great it smells throughout the day. If you're looking for some salon like products and a great price, try these!

 - Bath and Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap: Sweet Pea -
I know you have all seen these hand soaps, they have been around for such a long time and are so practical. I want to say that Bath and Body Works often has specials they run for these hand soaps where you can buy five soaps for $25. This scent is perfect for spring and you need such a little amount.

What are your favorite products from March 2012?

Keep Your Chest Perky w/ Weight Lifting!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I want to show you some exercises that are great for both men and women alike but I feel like this area often gets over looked by women. I'm talking about working out your chest or pectoral area. This is the area where most guys are the most focused on because they want to get that nice sculpted chest that we gals like. (;

Ladies, I'm here to tell you that this is an important area for us to train as well! Doing weight training that targets your chest will help keep your girls lifted and help prevent future sagging. Who doesn't want that?

Click here to watch this exercise video.

Incline Chest Press
Here's an example of an exercise that is great at targeting your chest.

- Lie on an inclined bench and press a barbell up and down towards your chest.
- Aim for 3 sets of 12-15.

Jumping Rope: Amazing & Cheap Exercise!

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all doing well and are ready to bust out your jump ropes from your younger days. I hope I'm not alone when I say I used to LOVE jumping roping as a kid! I would literally go outside and jump rope by myself for half an hour to an hour for fun. Yeah, it's funny the things we do as kids!

Although I don't jump rope for an hour anymore, I have been enjoying adding jump roping to my routine at the gym. I usually manage to jump rope about four to five times a week. This is such an amazing exercise because it works both your heart and muscles at the same time. It's also insanely cheap! I got my jump rope at Target for just under $10.

My Routine

1) Jump rope as fast as possible for 1-1.5 mintues. Rest. Repeat.

or

2) Jump rope for 5 minutes straight alternating slow/moderate speeds to fast speeds every 15 seconds.
