Bourbon Smolder Make Up

I was recently inspired by a make up look I saw in a magazine article.

The look was a smolder eye that consisted of smoked out brown winged eyeliner - heavy on the lower lash line.

Since I have smaller eyes, I rarely put heavy eyeliner on the lower lash line (this makes the eyes look smaller).

This make up gave me a different look and really made my eye shape stand out.

I had fun with it!
(;

You all gave me a lot of compliments on this look so don't forget to check out how to recreate this look step by step by viewing my online video.

How To Set Goals For 2011

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and are ready for 2011!

Anytime a new year comes around, you can't help but hear about new year's resolutions. Whether it's people telling you their own or someone asking you what yours are.

Wouldn't it be great to set some new goals for yourself to achieve in 2011?

Click here to view my Hot To Set Goals for 2011 video.

I personally love setting goals for myself! It makes me feel great when I have something to strive towards and I love the feeling of achievement when I reach my goals!

This method of setting goals is based on NASM's (National Academy of Sports Medicine) method.

It is called...
SCAMPI

S - SPECIFIC
Setting specific goals for yourself will result in better performance. It is far better to set specific goals than setting easy goals or simply "trying your best".
Try setting a specific exercise goal for yourself.
EXAMPLE:
I will exercise Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 45 minutes each day.

C - CHALLENGING
People who set challenging goals are likely to accomplish more than people who set modest goals.
Try setting challenging yet achievable goals for yourself this year. Look at what is realistic for you to accomplish and set your goals toward the higher, more difficult end.
Doing this will inspire you to put forth more action and after your goal has been achieved you will feel a sense of confidence.

A - APPROACH
Focus on setting goals that are based on what you want to achieve not what you want to avoid.
Basically, set goals that are positive not negative.
EXAMPLE:
Positive goal:
I want to exercise three days a week for 45 minutes each day so I can be more toned and strong.
Negative goal:
I want to exercise for three days a week for 45 minutes each day so I don't become fat.

M - MEASURABLE
Keeping track of your progress will gradually give you a sense of accomplishment and it will also let you know if your strategy is working.
This will also encourage you to make steady progress instead of the mentality "all or nothing".
Pencil into your schedule every week or two weeks a set time to measure your progress.
EXAMPLE:
Retake your body measurements, body fat percentage, or weigh yourself.

P - PROXIMAL
It is just as important to make short term goals as it is to make long term goals. Setting short term goals will raise a sense of confidence and determination.
Having both short term and long term goals lead to better performance.

I - INSPIRATIONAL
The goals that you set for yourself should be consistent with your ideals and ambitions.
Think about what you love in life and what inspires you and use those things to help make your goals.
EXAMPLE:
If you love gardening, incorporate that into your goal. Tell yourself that when you lose some extra weight, you will be able to garden for longer without getting so tired.

Now... what goals are you setting for yourself in 2011?

I always love to hear from you!

Lots of love!

Turquoise Wave - Make Up Tutorial/Look

I was playing around with some of my makeup and created a look using a bright turquoise shade but toned it down quite a bit using other shadows and well blending. I call this look turquoise wave because you can clearly see the bright turquoise when the eye is looking around but when the eye is looking straight at someone else; the turquoise just fades away like a wave.

My Raw Low Fat Vegan Lifestyle

Hi all!

Today I want to talk to you about my raw low fat vegan lifestyle. Most of you know that approximately four and a half months ago I started eating a raw food vegan diet. For those of you who aren’t familiar with a raw food vegan diet, it simply means that one only consumes uncooked food and does not consume animal products. No other creature in nature needs to cook its food before consumption so why do we humans cook our food? Gives you something to think about…

The foods that we were designed to eat don’t need to be cooked. Fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds are the foods that our bodies were designed to eat. You don’t need to kill ANYTHING to survive!

I eased myself into this new way of eating because I was feeling fatigued, stressed, and was lacking mental clarity a lot of the time. Deep down I knew that I could feel better and I decided to give this new way of eating a try. Because this way of eating is extreme, I told myself I would try it for one day and see how I felt. Well, like I said above, it’s now been over four months and I have never felt this great in my entire life. I now have such a clear mind and that I have NEVER experienced before in my life without stimulants! This has been a HUGE breakthrough for me! I would HIGHLY recommend this lifestyle to anyone who is looking to improve their health, energy levels, appearance, athletic performance, sense of calmness, mental clarity and many more benefits!

I started off eating a raw high fat vegan diet, which means I was eating fresh fruits and vegetables but also a lot of nuts, oil, and olives which are all high in fat and do not promote health. Yes, we do need some healthy fat into our diet but only in small doses. I feel so blessed because I have discovered the raw low fat vegan 80/10/10 or RLFV 811 early on in my journey with raw food. To eat RLFV 811 you daily need to eat a large amount of carbohydrates from large quantities of fresh fruit and also incorporate fresh vegetables. You also need to eat a small amount of protein and fat from nuts, seeds and avocados, etc. You eat 80% in carbohydrates, 10% in protein, and 10% in fat. This way of eating is AMAZING!

I’m feeling great and am enjoying each day more than the day before. I’m so excited to keep expanding my knowledge about eating a raw low fat vegan diet. The simplicity of it is beautiful!

Lots of love!
