Wow, those grapes look super black!! Sorry, random thing to point out, I know but I feel like I've never seen grapes that pigmented before! Are they regular grapes? Wow, Liz that's real dedication - you would probably faint if I told you my everyday diet!! It's very different to yours but here goes anyway ;)
ReplyDeleteBreakfast: 2 Weetabix biscuits with 1/2 cup 2% milk and a small banana (sliced up)
Lunch: A bagel with chicken, low-fat mayo, tomatoes, cucumber. An apple.
Dinner: Either some kind of pasta dish/stir fry with rice/meat with potatoes and boiled veggies. A low-fat yogurt.
I guess it's not so bad now that I think of it but I definitely don't use as much fresh produce as you in terms of ingredients for my dinner! <3
that looks yummy, i might still get hungry without any chicken or turkey or something though but I love fresh fruit. I loved being on a cruise and having it always available to me cleaned, cut and ready to eat haha! My meals are pretty regular except dinner varies:
ReplyDeleteBreakfast: usually oatmeal or fresh fruit smoothie with 1 or 2 egg whites
Morning snack: either a Lara Bar, an apple or a banana
Lunch: Almost always the same: medium salad with grilled chicken and balsamic vinegar or other healthy dressing, a vegetable (lately its been carrots and radishes), a fruit (almost always watermellon), a piece of babybel cheese
afternoon snack: usually a banana an apple or a lara bar (basically whatever I didnt eat in the morning I will eat now)
dinner: typically varies, but is usually some kind of vegetables and either grilled chicken, pasta or filet mignon.
I very rarely ever get hungry again after dinner so I have no problems avoiding nighttime snacks which I am glad of. I do sometimes splurge and have something like pizza for dinner or an unhealthy dessert on a holiday or if it is something I cant usually get and its a special time. If I do have a dessert its typically gelato or something pumpkin or gingerbread flavored.
Looks yummy but not a lot of food, don't you ever get hungry on this diet, especially when you exercise?! I'd faint on this food I think...
ReplyDeleteMy daily eats are something like this:
Breakfast: Oatmeal made with 3/4 cup dry oats, water, 1/2 banana, cinnamon & spoonful of peanut butter (YUMMM)
Morning snack: piece of fruit or carrots/vegetable snacks
Lunch: Either 2x brown sandwiches with filling or a soup with lots of veggies, or a salad or sushi kind of thing.
Afternoon snack: piece of fruit or carrots/vegetable snacks
Dinner: Either fish, chicken or meat with vegetables and salad or stir fry kind of thing.
Dessert: Non fat vanilla yoghurt
Good on you for being so dedicated to this new raw food diet though :) xoxo
When you list it all out like that, this raw food lifestyle actually looks pretty doable for me. Especially those smoothies -yum!-
ReplyDeleteHere's a quick run-through of my typical day:
Breakfast- Cereal (usually frosted wheat) with some variety of berries and skim milk.
Mid-morning- Green tea
Lunch - Plain Greek yogurt with a banana (sliced), homemade granola, and a touch of honey.
Snack - usually an apple with a little PB.
Dinner - Usually pasta, soup or rice with some combination of veggies, tofu, or eggs (for fried rice).
Thanks for the update!
The coconut balls looks so delicious, I`m looking forward to making them:D
ReplyDeleteHi! I just started reading stuff about being Vegan. I really want to live a Vegan life style. However, as I am a student, I really live on a budget. And I wouldnt be able to buy all those exotic alternatives for meat and dairy. Do you think I can still be Vegan on a lower budget? Do you have any suggestions as to what I could incorporate in my daily diet that's not too expensive?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this post. I'm going for 2 days raw each week. I just want to know how it feels. Love your vids and your blog. Big hugs xxx
